NEW | Bundle of Stationery Joy à la Japonaiserie
This season’s bundles are wrapped in a tactile array of vintage Japanese papers from our archives, mostly from the last century, all from Aiko’s. Some of the papers are crisp, some are soft yet strong and pliant, ready to reuse for wrapping, bookbinding, collage, origami, or enveloping. They are all beribboned with vintage Japanese cording in a complementary colour and have a single jumbeau pencil tucked into the bow. (The pencil can be sharpened easily with the double round brass sharpener.) The bundle’s inner wrap is crisp white tissue tied with canary yellow french embroidery thread and embellished with a bit of washi.
No two bundles is exactly alike, but each contains a range of 20-some notecards and postcards from European designers and artists: James Winrow, Marimekko, Mary Feddon, Cambridge Imprint, Fabriano Medioevalis, and Hahnemühle Bugra. Envelope accompaniments include tissue-lined Pineider Monarch-y envelopes, an envelope hand-folded by me, and a vintage airmail envelope.
Select your bundle(s) from the longest drop-down menu in the history of Bari Zaki Studio, by referring to the photos above. We repeat ourselves: There is only one of each pattern, so, as we have said previously, you might want to spring into action if you have favourites.
This is a welcome gift for any correspondent, any time, and luscious when paired with a deluxe manila sheetful of assorted denominations.
Hand-assembled by Bari Zaki and wrapped in our complimentary signature style: white tissue, French embroidery thread & our favourite washi tape of the day.
