NEW | Bundle of Stationery Joy à la Japonaiserie
This season’s bundles are wrapped in a tactile array of vintage Japanese papers from our archives, mostly from the last century, all from Aiko’s. Some of the papers are crisp, some are soft yet strong and pliant, ready to reuse for wrapping, bookbinding, collage, origami, or enveloping. They are all beribboned with vintage Japanese cording in a complementary colour and have a single jumbeau pencil tucked into the bow. (The pencil can be sharpened easily with the double round brass sharpener.) The bundle’s inner wrap is crisp white tissue tied with canary yellow French embroidery thread and embellished with a bit of washi.
No two bundles are exactly alike; each contains a range of 30-some notecards and postcards from designers and artists around the globe: James Winrow (UK), Marimekko (Sweden), Hadley Paper Goods (UK), Cambridge Imprint (UK), Wms & Co (Brooklyn!), Princeton Architectural Press (NYC), & Art Press (UK). Envelope accompaniments include Hahnemühle Bugra, Rossi, plus one special envelope hand-folded by me from Shizen (India) or Cambridge Imprint paper or a calendar page!
Select your bundle(s) from the drop-down menu by referring to the photos above. There is only one of each pattern, so you might want to spring into action if you have favourites.
This is a welcome gift for any correspondent, any time, and even more luscious when paired with a deluxe manila sheetful of assorted denominations.
Hand-assembled by Bari Zaki and outer-wrapped in our complimentary signature style: white tissue, French embroidery thread & our favourite washi tape of the day.
