This kit was orignally designed to accompany my 2020 lesson (airing March 24, 2020) on Words & Pictures, the year-long online class produced by Sonheim Creative. The kit contains all the papers you need to make two loopy link-stitch booklets, plus an array of waxed linen threads. Choosing the shade of thread to stitch your book is definitely part of the pleasure.

2 sheets of luscious Saint-Armand 100% cotton cover stock, ready for you to score to create your covers (10¾ x 14¾)

2 half-sheets of creamy Stonehenge 100% cotton cover stock, with its natural deckle on 2 edges. You will fold & score half of a half-sheet to make your single signature; you will use the other half to reinforce your cover (15 x 22 )

5 two-yard lengths of 7-ply waxed-linen thread (five different colours!), so that you can choose

4 gigante Italian paper clips presented in a small glassine envelope (You’ll see why!)

My Basic Bookbinding Kit includes all the tools needed, if you are indeed in need of them. You can also purchase tools separately: needles, bonefolder, shipping clerk’s knife, & lightweight awl.
