This Japanese brush pen is my current favourite. The mechanism for dispensing the ink into the brush is smooth and a bit cricket-like. The twist-and-click action on the top of the pen is reassuringly and pleasantly audible. Turn, click, turn, click, and the opaque white ink rolls into the brush for a very fine and delicate line. It’s so delightful! And the perfect companion to the other white brush pen which is more on the washier side of white.

As you see here, this ink looks chalkboard perfect on the black Saint-Armand.

Presented in a glassine sleeve and sealed with a bit of you-know-what.
