Cat Bennett is an artist & teacher based in Boston. She comes to Chicago once a year to teach workshops at our studio. Each of her books is the next best thing to being in a studio with her. Each short section reads almost as if Cat were standing beside you, offering practical suggestions and practiced observations. And, of course, encouragement. Once you’ve read all the way through, you can read and reread in smaller “doses” and still feel slightly uplifted.

Almost needless to say, the books are highly illustrated—not only with Cat’s own work but also with drawings, sketches, and paintings by other artists.

The copies in our shop are of course personally signed by Cat.
